Common Questions
How do I track my portfolio value?
Enter the number of ETF shares (parts) you own in the Portfolio tab. The app will automatically calculate your total portfolio value based on the current price. You can fetch live prices from Yahoo Finance in Settings.
Which ETFs are supported?
EquityLens supports both Vanguard FTSE All-World versions: VWCE (Accumulating) and VWRL (Distributing). The app includes complete historical price data and all 4000+ underlying stock holdings.
How do I get live prices?
Go to Settings, select your preferred currency (EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, etc.), and tap the "Fetch Current Price" button. EquityLens will retrieve the latest price from Yahoo Finance from the appropriate stock exchange.
Is my data private?
Yes! All your portfolio configurations are stored locally on your device. EquityLens does not collect, transmit, or store your personal portfolio data on any servers.
Do I need an internet connection?
An internet connection is only needed to fetch live prices from Yahoo Finance. All historical data, statistics, holdings information, and portfolio calculations work completely offline after the app is downloaded.
How often is the data updated?
The holdings data is based on publicly available information from fund providers and is updated periodically to reflect the latest available fund compositions.
